Advocate
The pandemic has created immense challenges for Dawn’s Place and survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation—while the ability to hold in person fundraisers has halted, the financial needs of our therapeutic programs have only grown. Further, trafficking is thriving in the isolation created by the pandemic. We are so grateful to anyone who wishes to raise awareness for the residents at Dawn’s Place, whether by hosting a virtual fundraiser, sharing our materials or inviting a Dawn’s Place volunteer to speak at an event, advocating online or in person as able, and joining one of several coalitions that work to stop sex trafficking at the root.
Raise Awareness Using Dawn's Place Resources:
We encourage our supporters to invite friends and family to follow our Facebook page, where we share information about sex trafficking and how the community can make a difference to end the trauma caused by human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
As in-person gatherings become more common, consider distributing Dawn’s Place “Stop Trafficking Cards” (business-card sized for discreet distribution) or our brochure. To inquire about inventory of either or both, please email: info@ahomefordawn.org.

Dawn’s Place also has the resource of expert speakers, available for your organization or club to learn more about the issues of Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation. Speakers are available for virtual meetings, and, when possible, in-person. To discuss bringing a speaker to your group, please email: info@ahomefordawn.org

We are grateful for help raising awareness not only of Dawn's Place but also of the need to stop human trafficking. Many are still not aware that human trafficking is a REAL PROBLEM that needs to be fought. Many think that slavery ended when it was legally abolished. This is not the case. Your help educating people about the need to fight human trafficking is both needed and valued. We encourage you to follow our Facebook page, as well as sign up for our mailing list, to receive informative articles and calls to action to share with your networks. Together we can make a difference.

State and National Legislators are also eager to hear about the issues that matter to you. Click here to find your elected officials, and keep an eye out for our calls to action that involve specific legislators.
Host an Online Fundraiser:
An easy way to host a fundraiser is through Facebook. Whether you set a goal of $100, or $1,000, every dollar you and your family and friends raise for your special occasion will be donated to ensure Dawn’s Place is available for the survivors who call Dawn's Place home. Facebook takes no fees from your fundraiser!
